Aircraft Sealer-Painter (m/f/gn)

The Aircraft Sealant-Painter performs direct labor on-site paint and de-paint operations at Hamburg. The Aircraft Painter performs all duties associated with treatment, preparation, priming, painting and marking of aircraft.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Know how to perform a good aerodynamic Sealant and be able to do other jobs like painting.
• Perform all preparatory work (obtain supplies and equipment, set up ladders and scaffolds, and cover items with drop cloths and tape)
• Prepare surfaces by mechanical means, i.e. scraping, wire brushing, masking, spackling, and sanding surfaces
• Clean, degrease, and remove oil, wax buildup, scale, dirt, and old paint from surfaces so coating materials adhere properly
• Mix, thin, blend, match, tint, and tone coating materials following specific written directives and specification
• Apply coating materials such as primer, paint, varnish, and shellac using standard application techniques and ensure the coating finish meets surface protection requirements in accordance with Work Control Documents
• Be open to do mechanics job and to learn it if needed is a plus

Required Skills and Experience:

• Two-years of hands-on experience performing duties associated with commercial aircraft painting
• Minimum 3 years’ experience painting (aircrafts/automobiles)
• Minimum 1 year experience painting Airplanes
• Safety equipment and masks
• Ability to work variable shifts; including day, evening, night and weekends
• Intermediate English (B1) is mandatory. Basic German and/or French are a plus
